What is the verb form of the word "archery"?

Is it "arching," "archering," or something succinct like that? Or is it just, "shooting some bows and arrows"? It seems so clumsy, somehow, to say that mouthful every time!
By "archery" I mean the sport of shooting with bows and arrows at a target.

I don’t belive there is such a thing. If you were to use it in a sentance it would be said:
    She practiced her archery skills
    Or something like that.

I don’t think there is a verb. An arch is a curved structure – hence the bow.
