In Wii Sports Resort archery I can't seem to hit the very first hidden target…HELP?

When I am trying to hit the orange next to the waterfall it won’t let me hit it… As soon as I shoot my arrow instead of following it towards the orange, it will just say "Miss" instead… I need help as out of all my many tries at this level only once has it followed the arrow and i am not quite sure what i did to make it do that. Any hints or tips would be greatly appreciated

I’ve hit it only like 3 times. You have to aim MUCH higher than usual so what I do is aim how I would normally, then move it up a bit. You just got to keep trying using trial and error.
