A Duke was hunting in the forest with his men-at-arms and servants when he came across a tree. Upon it, archery targets were painted and smack in the middle of each was an arrow.

"Who is this incredibly fine archer?" cried the duke. "I must find him!"

"You didn’t just walk up to the targets and hammer the arrows into the
middle, did you?" asked the duke worriedly.

"No my lord. I shot them from a hundred paces. I swear it by all that I hold holy."

"That is truly astonishing," said the duke. "I hereby admit you into my service." The boy thanked him profusely.

"But I must ask one favor in return," the duke continued.

"You must tell me how you came to be such an outstanding shot."

"Well," said the boy, "first I fire the arrow at the tree…

…and then I paint the target around it."

Question on laws concerning a BB gun?

Hello,
I just got a BB gun, and was wondering where I could use it (the laws and such). I live in Arkansas. There is a public outdoor archery range next to a golf course nearby – could I place a paper target on one of the archery targets and practice there? The bows, crossbows, etc. used there are lethal compared to my BB gun, so I’m assuming there will be no problem with practicing there. Any legal advice on this? Thanks.
P.S: Aside from my backyard…it is too small, and I want to use the scope.

What size of compound bow would be good for me to start with?

I have a couple of years of archery and really enjoyed it. I am looking into getting a compound bow. I just don’t know how many lbs draw back I should get. I’m on 5’3 not sure that matters. I only plan on doing target shooting. Please send me any other information that I might need to know before I buy a bow. I’m looking at buying online. Oh yeh I’m also left handed. lol

Help with archery and limb poundage?

Hey guys!
i’m 15 have been shooting for 2 years, use 26/28 pound limbs.
Recently, i’ve felt very uncomfortable with my bow, they seem too light, anyone has the same problem?? And what’s causing it? I also have target panic, and have not fully recovered from it. Also any tips for target panic?

I’m thinking in joining a sport and I always wanted to do archery ever since 6th grade Camp.
Anyways, I want to know what you do in archery, other than shoot at targets.
Do they make you jog and stuff like that?
Will it help me stay in shape?
